AIC Collectors and the Truth About Your Debt

Get a free QuickCreditScore check by applying here.

AIC Collectors is a debt purchasing firm that has purchased your debt from the original creditor, often a bank (or in some cases another debt collector) for about 10 percent or less of the original value of the debt and is attempting to get the full value of the original loan from you.

AIC Collectors will use all sorts of nasty methods to get money out of you so that they can make a quick profit. You may already have had bad dealings with them. They may call you at strange times and do so unacceptably often. They may be sending you official-looking nastily worded letters or cards threatening to 'send the boys round' and collect the money in full or take you to court if you cannot pay. Other strategies will include attempting an order for sale charge on your property or in some way cause you and your family great personal suffering.

So ask AIC Collectors for a copy of the original contract when you took out your loan or credit card.

More Data On AIC Collectors

My thanks to the excellent Consumer Action Group forums for these extracts:

I did however have a very useful conversation with the National Debt Helpine whom advised me they are more than too familiar with AIC Collectors and their poor nature and based on the information I had supplied to them about our call he stated I was more than within my rights to report them under section 40 of the administration of Justice Act.

Our comments: AIC Collectors consistently "try it on" with anyone they think will fear them, even if they know that there's a fair chance that these people do not owe any money at all. They have bought delinquent debts for pennies on the pound and are out to make the most money that they can, regardless of the consequences.

If you have any information that you would like honest people to know about AIC Collectors then send us an email in complete confidence and we will try to corroborate it with the clowns involved.
